What is Catch Phrase Poet?
Catch Phrase Poet is a print-on-demand clothing brand built around words that mean something. Graphic tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, bottoms, hats, and bags carrying original affirmations, motivational lines, and poetic catchphrases — made for people who want what they wear to say what they think.
Are the designs original?
Yes. Every catchphrase, affirmation, and graphic is original work, written and designed in-house. Nothing is licensed, recycled, or pulled from a template.
What does print-on-demand mean, and why does it matter?
Each item is made only after you order it. Nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing gets overproduced, and nothing ends up in a landfill because it didn't sell. It takes a few days longer than mass-produced apparel, and that tradeoff is deliberate.
Where are you based?
Catch Phrase Poet is based in Portland, Oregon. Orders ship worldwide through our production partners.
Where does the money go?
$1 from every order goes directly to Rose Haven, Portland's day shelter for women, children, and marginalized folks experiencing homelessness. You can read the full story and see the running impact log on our Give Back page.
Can I customize a design?
Yes. Visit our custom streetwear page to start with one of our designs and adjust it until it feels like yours.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
Because every item is made to order, allow 3–7 business days for production. After that, domestic delivery typically takes 3–5 business days, and international orders usually take 7–14 business days depending on destination.
Is shipping really free?
Yes — free shipping on all USA orders. No minimum, no code, no fine print. International shipping is calculated at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Exact cost and estimated delivery appear at checkout before you pay.
How do I track my order?
You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
If something isn't right, you can return unworn, unwashed items in original condition within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Custom or personalized items may not be eligible.
How do I start a return?
Email hello@catchphrasepoet.com with your order number and what went wrong, and we'll send return instructions.
What if my item arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us with a photo and your order number. If the mistake is ours, we'll replace it or refund you and cover return shipping.
Who pays for return shipping?
Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or defective, in which case we cover it.
How long do refunds take?
Allow 5–7 business days after we receive the item for inspection and processing, plus another 3–5 business days for it to appear on your original payment method.
Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Shop Pay, and other secure options shown at checkout.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Production starts quickly, so changes are only possible within 24 hours of ordering. Email hello@catchphrasepoet.com right away and we'll do what we can.
Sizing & Care
How do I pick the right size?
Every product page has a detailed size chart with real measurements. Check it rather than guessing from your usual size — fits vary between styles, especially oversized and drop-shoulder pieces.
Do your items run true to size?
Most do. Oversized and drop-shoulder styles are cut intentionally roomy — size down for a closer fit, or wear your true size for the full relaxed drape. Product pages note this where it applies.
What are your products made from?
Mostly cotton and cotton blends, with exact fabric content and weight listed on each product page.
How should I wash my items?
Machine wash cold with similar colors, tumble dry low, and don't iron directly on the print. Specific care instructions are on every product page and garment tag.
Why do colors sometimes look slightly different?
Garment-dyed and vintage-wash fabrics vary slightly between batches. It's a property of the finish, not a defect, and it means no two pieces are quite identical.
